As the Golden State Warriors prepare for the start of the 2021-22 season like the other 29 teams in the NBA, it is hard for them to overlook the fact that they have missed the playoffs the last two years.

Excuses of the team suffering key injuries and dealing with bad luck can definitely be made, but at the end of the day, the Warriors just have not been good enough the last two seasons after making the NBA Finals for five consecutive years from 2015-2019.

The fact that this organization has won three titles in the last seven seasons definitely cannot be overlooked, as they are still one of the premier franchises in the NBA, but the 2021-22 season is going to be a huge year for the entire Golden State Warriors organization.

Stephen Curry is coming off an MVP-like season and seems to be getting better at 33-years-old, Draymond Green is still a Defensive Player of the Year candidate, Jordan Poole is emerging as a possible Sixth-Man/Most Improved Player candidate and most importantly, 5x All-Star Klay Thompson will finally be making his grand return to the court.

Klay Thompson suffered a torn left ACL in the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors, forcing him to miss the entire 2019-20 season, and then during his rehab process last offseason, he suffered a right Achilles injury that forced him to miss all of last season as well.

What Klay will look like when he returns is the “million-dollar question” in San Francisco right now, but if we know anything about Klay Thompson, it is that he is going to do everything he can to come back better than ever from his injuries.
