Jordan Nwora – Milwaukee Bucks
In his rookie season with the Bucks last season, Jordan Nwora did not really play, but his rookie season ended how every player dreams of it ending, as the Bucks won the NBA Finals over the Phoenix Suns in six games. Developing into a more polished NBA wing was the main goal for Nwora and the Bucks’ training staff last season and this offseason, he has really matured as a basketball player.
Not only did he put on a show with Team Nigeria this summer, but Nwora also showed out in Summer League for Milwaukee, averaging 20.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and shooting 34.5% from the floor. He has picked up right where he left on in Las Vegas, as through two preseason games, Jordan Nwora has averaged 13.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, and has shot 50% from three-point range.
With a very smooth shooting stroke and score-first instincts when he has the ball in his hands, Nwora could very well find himself in the rotation for the Bucks early on in the season, especially since they need some depth behind Khris Middleton on the wing.
In his most recent preseason performance against the Brooklyn Nets, the second-year wing scored 30 points on 11-21 shooting from the floor, 6-10 from downtown. Nwora also added 8 rebounds to his name in just over 32 minutes on the floor.

“I think I’ve done an alright job,” Nwora stated in regards to how he has entered training camp and the preseason. “Obviously I can always improve. I think I’ve done a lot better on the defensive side of the floor. I think I’ve done a good job of making the right plays. Sometimes the right play is taking shots, but I think I’ve done a lot better these past few games.”
With the Milwaukee Bucks entering the season as the defending champions, every other team in the league is going to be after them and wanting to beat them, which is why guys like Jordan Nwora will have to step up on this team. Coming out of Louisville in 2020, Nwora was seen as a big-time scoring threat from the perimeter and now entering his second season in the league, he could prove to be a valuable perimeter player for the Bucks.
