3 Teams That Should Consider Trade For Magic’s Mo Bamba

Mo Bamba, Orlando Magic, NBA

There were once lofty expectations surrounding Mo Bamba when he first joined the Orlando Magic. Bamba was the No. 6 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Texas but just hasn’t managed to play to the level he was expected.

The combination of size and the ability to shoot from deep was enticing for teams in the NBA as he came out of college, but he’s failed to live up to expectations.

Whether it’s the Magic’s fault for failing to give him the necessary tools to put it all together or entirely on himself, Bamba has been a bench warmer to begin his career.

In his first three seasons, Bamba has seen just 15.3 minutes per game and his role doesn’t seem to be getting any bigger with Wendell Carter Jr., Robin Lopez, and Mo Wagner on Orlando’s roster.

The long-term outlook for Bamba with the Magic is bleak. It seems almost every season there is a different option ahead of him on the depth chart.

With Mo Bamba set to see a minimal role for the Magic again, here are three teams that should consider making a move for the seven-foot big man.
