How This Trade Impacts Sacramento Kings
This deal helps the Sacramento Kings to balance out its roster. Buddy Hield, who is better suited for the backcourt, is being swapped out for a legitimate wing prospect in Cam Reddish.
Being able to take a chance on Reddish would be an intriguing possibility for the Kings. He showed flashes. of potential in the playoffs and could receive more opportunity on a Kings team who could use a long-term answer on the wing.
Standing 6’8” Reddish has the potential to be a difference-maker as a two-way wing, something the Kings could use more of. Being able to land him in a deal for Hield makes it all the more intriguing.
Sacramento had the worst defensive rating in the history of the NBA last season, so getting someone that can help out on that end of the court in Reddish would be nice. Gallinari won’t help much defensively, but he is another upgrade for the roster.

The Kings don’t receive much production from their frontcourt and Gallinari would give them a nice scoring option. His floor spacing would add another dimension to the team. Outside of Harrison Barnes, Sacramento has no frontcourt player that can consistently score from the 3-point line.
