Cleveland Cavaliers
Moving Kevin Love seemed to be a main priority of the Cleveland Cavaliers this offseason, yet the veteran forward still remains on the roster. Love is owed $60.2M in total through the end of the 2022-23 season, a contract that is not favorable to the Cavaliers right now, but overall, this Cavs team is not as bad as their record over the years has been.
Collin Sexton and Darius Garland make up a highly talented, young backcourt and Garland is expecting big things from this team. The Cavaliers’ third-year point guard not only believes that Cleveland can be a much improved young team in this league but potentially contend for a playoff spot as well.
The two backcourt pieces are just two of the young depth on this Cleveland Cavaliers roster. Isaac Okoro, Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, and Lauri Markkanen are some of the other young talents on their roster and along with Kevin Love, the Cavs also have Ricky Rubio and Denzel Valentine as other experienced veterans on this roster.
For the first time since LeBron James last led them to the NBA Finals in 2018, the Cleveland Cavaliers actually have depth on their roster and they have some pretty talented players. This starting five of Garland, Sexton, Okoro, Mobley, and Allen brings a lot to the table in terms of athleticism and talent, as well as being impactful defensively.

The Cavaliers are definitely not a team that can contend for a title this year and they are still a long way away from reaching their full potential, but there is no reason why Cleveland cannot exceed 30-35 wins this season and possibly sneak into the play-in tournament in the Eastern Conference.
