How This Trade Impacts Oklahoma City Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder are still rebuilding, so they are looking to compile as many assets as possible. Taking a chance on a player such as Kevin Knox II is something that the team should still be looking to do.

Knox has some potential, he just needs an opportunity to play and develop. He has the tools to turn into a solid player, but the Knicks just don’t have the playing time to give him that opportunity.

The Thunder, on the other hand, has plenty of minutes they can give him. It wouldn’t hurt Oklahoma City to add another wing to the mix, as they don’t have too many high-ceiling players at the forward spot.

Kenrich Williams was a solid contributor to the Thunder last season but doesn’t have as high of a ceiling that Knox does. Flipping him after a productive year for a chance to see a prospect such as Knox would make some sense.
