Utah Jazz Receive: G Buddy Hield, Robert Woodard II, 2022 Second Round Pick (via ATL), 2022 Second round Pick (via DET or CHI)
Sacramento Kings Receive: F Bojan Bogdanovic, C Udoka Azubuike
The Sacramento Kings have positioned themselves to no longer need Buddy Hield long-term. Finding a trade suitor that can send out a helpful veteran option at another position appears to be ideal.
In this particular NBA trade scenario, the trade suitor would be the Utah Jazz, who currently find themselves facing a need to keep Donovan Mitchell happy. Bogdanovic dealt with a wrist injury last season and did not build on his strong 2019-20 campaign.
The Jazz utilizes Bogdanovic in a sharpshooting role where he puts the ball on the floor to score using ball screens or handoffs. Hield could fill this same role quite well and for longer given the disparity in age between the two.
For the Kings, they just need to sever ties with Buddy Hield. He has been disgruntled with the organization seemingly since signing his contract extension. Now, there are two young guards alongside De’Aaron Fox that appear to be the future going forward.

The Kings could utilize Bogdanovic in a key rotation role alongside Harrison Barnes on the perimeter to provide more versatility on the wing. With Richaun Holmes holding down the five spot, there are a lot of intriguing possibilities.
While not a blockbuster, this is a trade that would shake things up for both teams. What are the impacts of a deal like this one? Let’s take a look at the deal from each team’s perspective.
