Tyler Dorsey
Tyler Dorsey was a second-round pick out of Oregon in the 2017 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks. He was the 41st overall selection and spent his rookie season in Atlanta. He appeared in 27 games his sophomore season with the Hawks before being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies. He played another 21 games there, starting 11.
That was the last time we saw Dorsey in the NBA. He has spent the last two seasons overseas playing for Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv in the Euroleague and I-BSL. It might be time for an NBA team to give him another shot stateside.
Dorsey averaged 11.4 points the last two seasons in 22.1 minutes per game. He showcased the nice shooting stroke he had in college, knocking down 39.8 percent of his 3-point attempts overseas.
Standing 6’5”, he also has the size to defend multiple positions, as he can match up with shooting guards, small forwards, and is athletic enough to defend point guards as well. NBA teams can never have enough 3-and-D players and Dorsey would fit the bill.

He was excellent during his short stints in the G League, averaging 21.6 points per game on 40.7 percent 3-point shooting. He added 6.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.5 steals per game as well.
At only 25-years old, Dorsey still has plenty of good basketball ahead of him. A team should be willing to take a shot on him, as his 3-point shooting alone should be enough to get a look.
