NBA training camp is now upon us, meaning the preseason and regular season are right around the corner.
Teams are finalizing their rosters, as they can have up to 20 players under contract for the duration of time leading up to the regular season. At that point, rosters need to be cut down to 15, with two more two-way spots available.
There are numerous teams with roster spots open that could be filled this week. There is no harm in carrying 20 players for the next few weeks. Maybe a diamond in the rough can be found or a young player that shows promise that can be stashed on a G League roster or signed to a two-way deal.
There are still several recognizable names floating around on free agency that are surprisingly available. Veterans such as Wesley Matthews, Isaiah Thomas, and DeMarcus Cousins are still available.

There are also some players looking to get back into the NBA, such as Darren Collison, Lance Stephenson and Monta Ellis still free agents as well.
