Would this trade make sense for the Orlando Magic?
The Orlando Magic was a postseason team for the previous two years before this season. The beginning got away from them, and they decided to head in a different direction with some expiring contracts.
They have a young backcourt to build around and could look for veteran leadership on and off the floor. Jalen Suggs is the long-term answer but could use another ball-handler for the next few seasons to take some pressure off him at times.
Wall is not the player he used to be and would not help them win a championship but he would provide the necessary leadership for the next generation. However, adding more draft assets is the main goal in this instance.
Also, Magic would be able to get rid of some undesirable contracts on the books. Gary Harris has been one of their biggest trade pieces, and Markelle Fultz is an unknown coming off of an injury.

When looking at the Magic, they might be able to turn it around quickly. Jonathan Isaac is back from a season-ending injury, and Franz Wagner will be ready to make an impact as another top 10 pick that was added in the offseason.
