2. Kristaps Porzingis
The Sacramento Kings could use some reinforcements in their frontcourt. They cannot go into the regular season once again with Marvin Bagley III as the starting power forward as he hasn’t shown enough development to warrant such a role.
Right now the only reliable power forward that they have is Harrison Barnes, who is penciled in as the starting small forward. Barnes is as reliable as they come, but the team could benefit from adding more pieces to the frontcourt.
Kristaps Porzingis could be a potential target for Sacramento. They need to catch lightning in a bottle to help end their playoff drought and Porzingis could provide that. There are risks in acquiring Porzingis, but he has shown that he can be a difference-maker on both ends of the court.
Even if the Kings received the production that Kristaps Porzingis provided during the regular season in 2020-21, it would be a big upgrade for them. He would help balance things out on the roster, as they are currently backcourt heavy, and give the team another go-to scorer.
