Would this trade make sense for the Philadelphia 76ers?

There is no coming back from the performance that Ben Simmons had in the postseason. Unlike other NBA trade rumors, he would not be the biggest name in the deal, and that means Philadelphia would have to give up more to make it work.

Interestingly enough, Paul George would be the only player coming to town in this particular NBA trade scenario, and this works out well for the 76ers.

It is time that Philadelphia begins to commit to building Embiid alone entirely. This can be done by splitting up the duo that they have hitched their wagon to for years. Daryl Morey decided to surround Embiid with shooters, and it worked out very well. George would only help this notion.

Paul George would be the piece along the perimeter that would draw attention away. The Eastern Conference is very top-heavy, and the Sixers are one of those teams bunched near the top. To compete with the likes of the Brooklyn Nets, they could look to add that next-level star.

George has plenty of experience in the postseason throughout his career. With Doc Rivers on the sideline and Embiid down low, George would be set up in a position to succeed right away.
