Thaddeus Young – San Antonio Spurs
Ever since Thaddeus Young was traded to the San Antonio Spurs in a sign-and-trade deal that sent DeMar DeRozan to the Bulls, there has been much talk about Young being a potential trade candidate for the defending Western Conference Champions.
The Phoenix Suns really do not have a “true” power-forward since Jae Crowder has traditionally been more of a wing player, and with Dario Saric out as he recovers from a torn ACL, the Suns are kind of weak still in their frontcourt.
Signing JaVale McGee will take an enormous amount of pressure off of Ayton to do everything for this team underneath, but still, they could really benefit from adding a versatile, experienced frontcourt option like Thaddeus Young.
Not only has Thaddeus Young proven to be able to score in this league, as he has the second-most points out of all players in the 2007 NBA Draft over Mike Conley, Al Horford, Jeff Green, and others, but the veteran forward is coming off arguably one of his better all-around seasons in the NBA.

Last season with the Bulls, Thaddeus Young averaged 12.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.1 steals, and shot 55.9% from the floor, making him a perfect “glue guy” for the Phoenix Suns to consider trading for.
To bring in his $14.1M contract, the Suns would have to try their best to match this upcoming contract, which is why the most likely assets to trade away would be Dario Saric ($8.5M) and Jalen Smith ($4.4M).

Whether or not the Phoenix Suns would be willing to trade either of these guys remains a question, but no doubt adding Thaddeus Young to this roster would make them an even better title threat than they already are.
