Golden State Warriors Receive: F Jerami Grant, C Kelly Olynyk
Detroit Pistons Receive: F Andrew Wiggins, G Moses Moody, 2022 First-Round Pick, 2025 First-Round Pick Swap

The Detroit Pistons have been getting some calls about Jerami Grant this offseason. He had a solid first season in the Motor City, and plenty of teams would love to have him as an upgrade at the forward spot.

The Boston Celtics reportedly offered multiple late first-round picks for Grant but were turned away. Detroit likes Grant, and he likes Detroit, but this might be the one if a deal were to convince them to part ways.

The Pistons would be sending Grant and Kelly Olynyk, who they signed to a three-year, $37 million deal in free agency, to the Warriors. They are receiving a pretty strong package in return from Golden State.

Andrew Wiggins had the best season of his career in 2020-21 and will help replace some of the scoring that Grant will miss. His 3-point shooting will be a welcome addition to the team as well.

Moses Moody is another potential 3-point sniper that they would be adding to the mix. The No. 14 overall pick from the 2021 NBA Draft was regarded as one of the best shooters in his draft class.

The 2022 first-round pick might be a late first-rounder, but it gives Detroit another chance to add a young player to the roster or a bargaining chip to add a more established player to the mix. By 2025, that swap could be valuable depending on how Father Time treats the Warriors’ core.

Now, let’s take a deeper dive into how this trade would impact both teams, starting with the Warriors.
