Eric Gordon – Houston Rockets
Eric Gordon is a much more costly option than Kyle Anderson, as Gordon is owed $58.7M over the next three seasons, but the LA Clippers could pursue him with equal contracts should they decide to do so.
The Rockets are going to be looking to move Eric Gordon at some point and with him being owed $18.2M this upcoming year, his contract aligns almost perfectly with that of Eric Bledsoe ($18.2M) and is very close salary-wise to that of Marcus Morris’ contract ($15.6M).
The Clippers just acquire Eric Bledsoe this offseason, so they likely would not look to move him and Marcus Morris Sr. has been a key secondary scorer for them, so they may not want to move him either for Gordon, but if Los Angeles wanted to pursue the Rockets’ veteran, they hypothetically could.
Creating a trade package of Luke Kennard and a player like Justise Winslow could also be enough outgoing salaries for the Clippers to bring in Eric Gordon, but then they would have to be tied down to his long-term deal, which runs through the 2023-24 season unless he is waived before then with his non-guaranteed clause.

Before sitting out the remainder of the 2020-21 season with a groin injury, Eric Gordon was playing really well with the Rockets and averaged 17.8 points and 2.6 assists while shooting 32.9% from three-point range.
Over the course of his career, Gordon has always been a really solid two-way player at the shooting guard position and could bring a ton of championship-caliber experience with him to Los Angeles.

If they wanted to, the Clippers could possibly make a trade for Eric Gordon work, but they would have to sacrifice some key assets/talent to do so, which is why they will probably look elsewhere in a potential trade.
