Kyle Anderson – Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies have been very active in trade talks this offseason, moving pieces left and right and they could be willing to talk trades on veteran wing Kyle Anderson, who is entering the final year of his contract worth $9.9M for the 2021-22 season.

It is unknown what kind of price tag the Grizzlies would put on Anderson, but the Clippers have the contracts of Marcus Morris ($15.6M), Luke Kennard ($12.7M) and Serge Ibaka ($9.7M) to possibly deal in trade scenarios, plus three rookies in Keon Johnson, B.J. Boston and Jason Preston.

The LA Clippers would likely not want to trade away Morris nor Ibaka to start the season, but Kennard is definitely a guy they could consider moving for a more reliable and solidified player like Kyle Anderson. The 27-year-old combo-forward does a little bit of everything to help his team win, which is why Anderson would be a solid fit with the Clippers.

Last season with the Grizzlies, Kyle Anderson averaged 12.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists, all of which were new career-highs. Set to begin his 8th season in the NBA, Anderson is definitely a guy the Clippers could look to utilize similar to how they used Nicolas Batum last year, alternating from having him on the wing and at the power-forward position.

Seeing as the Clippers already made a deal with Memphis this offseason involving Rajon Rondo and Patrick Beverely, it is safe to assume that Los Angeles would have looked to acquire Kyle Anderson then, so he could be off the table for them now.

However, if the LA Clippers do want to add another versatile and experienced forward to their arsenal, Kyle Anderson is a low-cost, high-reward option for them to consider.
