Jeremy Lamb – Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers have been actively shopping Jeremy Lamb around league-wide, but his market is very low right now as a result of the veteran wing still trying to get his legs back under him after suffering a torn ACL in 2020.
Jeremy Lamb only played in 36 games last season as he continued to recover from this knee injury and he did not play that bad, averaging 10.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and shooting 40.6% from three-point range.
Over the course of his now 9-year NBA career, Lamb has never really been known to be an automatic scorer on the offensive-end of the floor and does have question marks surrounding his mobility defensively, but going 52-128 (40.6%) from deep in limited last season is definitely eye-opening for a team like the Dallas Mavericks.
Seeing as he is in the final year of his contract and owed $10.5M for the 2021-22 season, Dallas would not be tied down to him long-term and they would not have to worry about the financial ramifications of absorbing Lamb’s contract since they could use their full Josh Richardson TPE to acquire the Pacers’ wing.

Adding Jeremy Lamb to their roster gives them another experienced player on the wing who can knock down multiple shots from deep in a single game.
With Dorian Finney-Smith, Reggie Bullock and Sterling Brown all on the wing as well, Dallas could take their time with Lamb and not rush him back into action, which could end up being the best case scenario for the 29-year-old shooting guard/small-forward.

Like adding D.J. Augustin, this is not a big “wow” move for the Mavericks to make, but Jeremy Lamb is a solid addition for any team in this league looking to add a player who can be a catch-and-shoot perimeter threat.
