Another day has gone by, which means it is time to talk about everybody’s favorite NBA topic – Ben Simmons trade packages! The Philadelphia 76ers have been taking calls and making offers involving Ben Simmons over the last several weeks, but they have still not reached an agreement on a trade involving their 3x All-Star.
The closer and closer we get to the start of training camps without a deal being in place to trade Simmons, it is looking more and more like the Sixers may be stuck keeping him, but at the same time, is this something they really want to do?
The 7-footer reportedly wants out of Philly, and if they keep him around to begin the season, this could cause a major toxic situation, specifically in the locker room.
Moving Ben Simmons is a “must” for the Philadelphia 76ers right now, but they do not want to give him up for nothing. The Sixers need to be careful with what kind of deal they make involving Ben Simmons, but at the same time, there are very few teams in this league who can offer up what the Philadelphia 76ers are looking for.

Could this result in Philly striking a deal with Portland instead? Maybe they will not get Damian Lillard, but let’s go back and take a look at a trade proposal we made a few weeks back talking about CJ McCollum being on the move.
Maybe the Blazers want nothing to do with Ben Simmons anymore and are willing to roll the dice with Lillard and McCollum to begin the 2021-22 season, but if the Portland Trail Blazers are still interested in making a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, here is a different deal they could make involving CJ McCollum.
