3 Targets For Miami Heat To Monitor Ahead Of Trade Deadline

Miami Heat, NBA Trade Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

After making the NBA Finals in the NBA Bubble during the 2019-20 season, the Miami Heat came back with high expectations to live up to for the 2020-21 season.

With COVID-19 problems and multiple players with injuries, the Heat really did not have a successful season last year, as they went 40-32, only to get swept in the first round of the playoffs by the Milwaukee Bucks.

Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo are two All-Star talents on this roster, but Miami knew they needed to add more talent to their roster this offseason, so they went out and added Kyle Lowry, P.J. Tucker, Dewayne Dedmon, Markieff Morris and they re-signed Duncan Robinson, Victor Oladipo, Gabe Vincent and Max Strus.

Oladipo is likely going to be out until 2022 as he continues to recover from another quadriceps tendon surgery in the offseason, but recent reports suggest that the former All-Star combo-guard is ahead of schedule on his rehab process.

At full strength, this Heat team has a chance to be a legit title-contending team in the Eastern Conference, even with the likes of the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks. This does not necessarily mean that the Heat will not look to be aggressive in adding more talent though.

Miami added Victor Oladipo at the trade deadline last season and they will not be afraid to make another big move at the trade deadline this year, so let’s take a look at three potential targets to monitor ahead of the 2021-22 trade deadline.
