How Trade With Portland Trail Blazers Could Look

If the Philadelphia 76ers are going to move Ben Simmons, their asking price has to come down. Teams are not going to take the offers seriously that they are currently offering. They are reportedly motivated to trade Simmons, but their trade offers say otherwise.

The Portland Trail Blazers would be able to build a package that will intrigue the 76ers. Beginning a package with Damian Lillard or CJ McCollum would be an excellent place to start.

As long as Lillard does not request a trade, the Trail Blazers will likely want to keep him in the fold. They need a roster shakeup, though, and could use McCollum to accomplish that. Using him as the centerpiece of a deal for Simmons makes sense for both teams.

Philadelphia could also ask for young guard Anfernee Simons in the deal to further sweeten the package. Portland has all of their future first-round draft picks at their disposal as well and should be willing to part with multiple ones to land Simmons.

The 76ers roster would now have a third scorer to help balance out their roster, as McCollum is one of the best shooting guards in the NBA. He is a capable playmaker, providing Philadelphia with enough playmaking to initiate the offense if need be.

Lillard is who Philadelphia would love to land, but it is unlikely a package centered around Simmons would be enough to land him.
