One Free Agent For Contenders To Consider After DeAndre Jordan Signing

NBA training camps begin in less than three weeks, and teams are starting to finalize their 20-man camp rosters.

Most of the free-agent deals that we have seen over the last few days have consisted of guys signing Exhibit-10 Contracts, a.k.a. training camp deals, but one notable name who has actually made a team’s roster is veteran big man DeAndre Jordan.

The former All-Star center was traded by the Brooklyn Nets to the Detroit Pistons earlier this month, and quickly after, he was bought out of his contract by the Pistons.

As a result, Jordan will make $7,875,533 during the 2021-22 season and $7,827,907 during the 2022-23 season, per his buyout agreement with the Detroit Pistons.

DeAndre Jordan will soon sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, giving them yet another former All-Star on what seems like a roster assembled on 2K22! With Jordan now being off-the-market, some key names are still available as free agents with minimal roster spots left.

Some guys could very well wait to sign with a team until midseason near the NBA trade deadline or when teams begin to buy out unwanted contracts closer to the playoffs, but we could very well see some contending teams still sign one or two key guys before training camps begin.

With this said, let’s look at four contending teams in the NBA and a possible free agent for them to still consider with a potential open roster spot.
