Sacramento Kings
A more intriguing trade scenario to consider is the Sacramento Kings showing interest in Jaden McDaniels. Right now, Sacramento is trending towards missing the playoffs for the 16th consecutive season, and they have some roster issues to sort out.
Marvin Bagley III is obviously frustrated with his current situation with the team, and after almost trading Buddy Hield, the Kings may have to address his future.
De’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton, Richaun Holmes, and rookie Davion Mitchell are the only guys on this Kings’ roster who seem to have solidified futures within the organization, so could we see the Kings offer u Buddy Hield for Jaden McDaniels?
This is definitely a scenario to consider, especially since Hield definitely is not taking kindly to almost being traded to Los Angeles and then the deal falling through on draft night. He seems to be a guy Sacramento will look to move in a trade, and given the Timberwolves wanting to add more scoring talents, Buddy Hield could be a great target for them.

The only problem with him is that Hield is owed $61.5M over the next three seasons, so Minnesota would have to likely part ways with Malik Beasley as well to remain under the tax line.
Hypothetically, they could keep Beasley in a deal for Buddy Hield, but they would have to pay luxury taxes on a team that has not made the playoffs very frequently, which is something ownership likely would not be willing to do.

Overall, though, the Kings will need another frontcourt talent soon enough if Marvin Bagley III is traded or does not re-sign once his contract is up next offseason, which is why he is going after Jaden McDaniels to pair with Richaun Holmes makes a lot of sense for the Kings.
