The Los Angeles Lakers have been an aggressive team in the NBA offseason for years now. That continued last season after an early exit in the postseason. At this point, it is unlikely that any more blockbuster deals are done for the Lakers, but that does not mean that they will sit on their hands moving forward.
The Lakers made a big splash when they acquired Russell Westbrook from the Washington Wizards. This gives them that elite point guard that they have been missing.
The Lakers now have a big three, with Westbrook joining Anthony Davis and LeBron James. This team will enter the regular season as one of the favorites to win the NBA title. Los Angeles is looking to do after being eliminated in the first round by the Phoenix Suns.
If the Lakers continue to make deals, the Portland Trail Blazers could be interested in a low-level one. Portland is another team that could look to be aggressive but in different ways as they aim to maximize the depth chart around Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum.

A move for Marc Gasol would not be a game-changer for the Trail Blazers, but there are some benefits to the idea. Portland has been eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in four of the last five years. This is something that can make the team rethink their current configuration.
