Would this trade make sense for Philadelphia 76ers?
Quite honestly, Ben Simmons’ value really is not that high on the trade market, hence why the Philadelphia 76ers have not traded him yet, which is why this trade actually does make sense for them. They may not get another All-Star for him, but the relationship between the Sixers and Ben Simmons is all but gone at this point.
The bride has been burned, and he does not want to be in Philly, so keeping him on the roster heading into training camp could cause many problems within the locker room. Simmons has stated he will not attend 76ers’ training camp, but if they have not traded him by then, things will begin to get complicated.
If the Hawks are interested, this probably is the best offer the 76ers will get for Ben Simmons only because of the value and upside they would acquire.
Danilo Gallinari is a “play-now” guy who will average double-figure scoring off the bench. De’Andre Hunter will only get better as a two-way player on the wing, and Cam Reddish has a lot of potential to be an offensive-minded player.

Joel Embiid and Seth Curry were great against the Hawks in the playoffs last season, but nobody else showed up for this team.
Their bench did rank 13th in the league in scoring last year during the regular season. Still, with Danny Green out, the 76ers really struggled to find production outside of Embiid and Curry, especially with Tobias Harris struggling.
Adding three key talents who can get the job done on offense is highly advantageous to the 76ers because they would not have to worry about guys not “pulling their weight.” After making this trade, the Sixers would be a very talented and deep team, plus they would add future value to their roster with the draft picks they get from Atlanta.

The Philadelphia 76ers should not rush a decision on a Ben Simmons trade, especially since they have waited this long. Still, they really may not get much better offers than this one from Atlanta, which is why they should accept this trade should the Hawks be willing to part ways with all of these assets.
