3. Portland Trail Blazers Backcourt
The Portland Trail Blazers make for a good trade partner for the Golden State Warriors when it comes to shopping Andrew Wiggins. Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum are both excellent trade targets.
Lillard is someone the team should be willing to empty the treasure chest of assets for. Wiggins would be the centerpiece to match salary, but James Wiseman and both picks in this year’s 2021 NBA Draft, No. 7 Jonathan Kuminga and No. 14 Moses Moody, would be included as well.
Portland would likely ask for future draft compensation as well to part ways with their franchise player. But, his backcourt mate in CJ McCollum would also be a worthwhile trade target.
McCollum would cost a lot less in terms of return package than Lillard would, making him a likelier target. His fit would be a little more natural, as he is used to playing off the ball more than Lillard is.

McCollum would provide the Warriors with a little more playmaking in their starting five and someone else who can create his own offense. Shot creation is something that Golden State has very little of outside of Stephen Curry currently.
Wiggins as the centerpiece with one of this year’s lottery picks, a future pick and salary filler could be enough to get the ball rolling in discussions.
