Paul Millsap

There is no denying that the Chicago Bulls upgraded their roster this offseason. But, in the process of doing that, they lost a lot of depth from their roster.

Thaddeus Young was a key cog in their rotation, playing in 69 games. Al-Farouq Aminu only played in six but provided veteran insurance at the end of the bench. Lauri Markkanen is still on the market as a restricted free agent and Cristiano Felicio is a free agent as well. Daniel Theis moved on in free agency as well, signing with the Houston Rockets.

The Bulls would be smart adding some more frontcourt depth to their roster and Paul Millsap presents an excellent target. Millsap is nearing the end of his career at 36-years old but can still be a useful piece for Chicago.

Paul Millsap can still provide some impact defensively, as he can defend both forward spots and even play some center. Frontcourt defense is something the Bulls could certainly use more of. This is why Chicago has interest in signing him, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Right now, Patrick Williams is the only power forward listed on Chicago’s roster, so adding depth is imperative. Paul Millsap would be able to provide mentorship to the soon-to-be 20-year old Williams as well.
