Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic are not a win-now team so they might not fit into what James Ennis is looking for but he just spent time with the organization so there is a benefit to re-signing him. Both sides could come to an agreement if nothing else takes place and this is not the worst situation for both sides.

The Magic had a big night during the 2021 NBA Draft. They were able to take advantage of the fifth-overall pick and land one of the best prospects in the draft.

Jalen Suggs fell into their laps and now, the Magic have a franchise point guard to build around. Ennis was able to develop his game further at an older age with the Magic. He enjoyed an extended role and this helped his three-point shot develop.

Ennis could choose to stay in this role, and potentially ask for a higher price tag, with a team like Orlando looking to round out the roster.

The Magic do not have the pieces to compete this season so Ennis will not be in position to win a championship but he would not have to go far and would be able to return to a team that he knows well.
