1. New York Knicks

The New York Knicks have not had a point guard of Damian Lillard caliber since Walt “Clyde” Frazier. If he is available, the Knicks need to make this deal happen. They have missed out on plenty of big-name free agents in the past and they could land that superstar in a trade.

New York has gone from the worst franchise in all of sports to a team that is expecting to compete next season. They won 41 games this past year and landed the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.

After an early exit where they struggled to put the ball in the basket, the Knicks could look for that option at the top of the offense. Yes, they signed Kemba Walker to a two-year deal but if Lillard is available, you don’t pass up on it because of Walker.

Evan Fournier was also signed as help for Julius Randle and RJ Barrett. The Knicks have a strong core to rely on moving forward and Lillard would help take it to the next level.

If this is a franchise looking to win a championship, this deal has to be on their radar. The Knicks have swung and missed plenty times over the years but this is one that they need to make happen if they want to seriously be considered as contenders.
