2. Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers are coming off a year where they were the top seed in the Eastern Conference. It was a strong regular season that ended with an early-exit from the playoffs.

The Sixers struggled and a big part of it was a point guard that could not score the ball. Damian Lillard is the complete opposite and would be a huge upgrade for the Sixers.

Ben Simmons has been the Sixers’ biggest trade piece this offseason. There has to be a deal done involving the max player and this could be it. This trade will not simply be Simmons for Lillard straight-up but the 76ers have assets to send away. This includes young prospects such as Tyrese Maxey and Matisse Thybulle. It would be worth it to get a player like Lillard.

Aside from his natural ability to shoot from anywhere on the floor and score at all three levels, the pick-and-roll duo of Lillard and Embiid would be difficult to stop. The 76ers have the pieces in place to win right now and Lillard would take that to the next level.

The 76ers might be the most attractive destination for Lillard so it will be interesting to see if Portland makes it happen. There has to be a preferred list of teams that Lillard wants to go to and it would be surprising to not see Philly on this list.
