The Cleveland Cavaliers really have not been in the news much this offseason, as the 2021-22 season appears to be a year they look to take the next step in their young talent’s development. Collin Sexton, Darius Garland, Isaac Okoro, Jarrett Allen and now Evan Mobley make up one of the youngest cores in the NBA, but also one of the cores with the most potential to grow into something special.

Success has not been something the Cavaliers have been accustomed to over the last few seasons, but they definitely have a chance to continue growing during the 2021-22 season. However, they will have some roster moves to make since they are inching closer to the tax threshold and have some players they would like to unload.

Kevin Love and his $60.2M contract over the next two seasons is obviously the first contract the Cavaliers would look to move on from at some point, but could they look to move Larry Nance Jr. and the two-years, $20.3M left on his deal?

Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reports that “it would take a lot to deal him,” but he is definitely a potential early season or trade deadline option for a handful of teams around the league.

There were some trade rumors surrounding Nance Jr. entering last NBA trade deadline and these same trade rumors should still exist entering next season. The 28-year-old forward averaged 9.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists last season while shooting 47.1% from the floor in just 35 games due to injuries, but he is still a key talent that some teams have their eye on.

So who could possibly have interest in Larry Nance Jr. and what could they possibly give up that would draw the attention of the Cavaliers? Let’s take a look at three teams who could consider a trade for Cleveland’s versatile forward in the near future.
