1. Portland Trail Blazers

The Portland Trail Blazers need to find some help on the wings. They acquired Norman Powell at the trade deadline from the Toronto Raptors, but at 6’3”, he doesn’t solve all of their issues.

Portland needs to better balance out their roster. Starting three players that are 6’3” or shorter in Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum and Powell is not going to help their defense.

The Trail Blazers needs to improve on the defensive end of the court if they want to make some noise in the postseason and acquiring a player of OG Anunoby caliber would help them achieve that.

Anunoby would provide Portland with a defensive ace on the perimeter. Combined with Robert Covington, the Trail Blazers would then have two versatile defenders at their disposal. After finishing 29th in defensive rating last season, any help would be welcomed with open arms in Portland.

While his defense would be what the Trail Blazers truly need, Anunoby has shown improvements offensively, making him more than just a defensive acquisition. He is an efficient scorer with an improving 3-point shot, providing even more floor spacing to allow the backcourt to fill it up offensively.
