2. Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors came into the offseason looking to upgrade the roster in a big way. Their main goal is to keep the championship window open as long as possible with the core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

Armed with multiple lottery picks in this year’s draft and the No. 2 pick in last year’s draft, James Wiseman, the Warriors had the pieces to swing a big deal. Alas, no deal was consummated during the draft, but OG Anunoby would be a great target for the Warriors still.

Anunoby would give the team a defensive ace on the perimeter to help take pressure off of Thompson. While Thompson has looked good in workouts, he has not played in an NBA game since the 2019 NBA Finals. He will need some time to ramp things back up, so having players that can take pressure off of him would do Thompson some good.

Anunoby also turned only 24-years old in July. He would give the Warriors a nice building block that will not only help them compete now but provide the foundation for the franchise in the future.
