Would this trade make sense for the Boston Celtics?
The point-guard position is one that the Boston Celtics have struggled with. They thought Walker was the long-term answer but the fit did not work from day one.
Now that they have moved on, Schroder will play the role for a year. We have seen that depth is needed to win in the NBA and that is what Boston could look to get in a deal like this one.
Dragic is a veteran guard who has experience on the biggest stage. He is a starting-caliber guard but would certainly benefit the Celtics as a backup. The Celtics have their star-power in place. Tatum and Brown make up an elite duo on the offensive end of the floor.
Defensively, they leave much to be desired and Dragic could help on both ends. He would provide some valuable minutes for Boston in the middle of the game. The point guard has turned into the most-important position on the floor and Boston has a chance to add depth to the top of the offense here.

Stevens knows what this team lacks and he has been aggressive in fixing the problems. Dragic does not seem like a blockbuster deal, and it is not on paper, but this is a trade that could help the Celtics right away.
