Would this trade make sense for the Orlando Magic?
There comes a time where teams will have to just give up on some younger players. That time could be coming up for the Orlando Magic and Jonathan Isaac.
The Magic used a former lottery pick on him but the pick has not worked out just yet. At this point, it is unlikely that it will and the front office should test the market and see what they can get back to further the team’s rebuilding efforts around Jalen Suggs.
Here, Crowder would be a veteran option to bring leadership. He has been known to be a leader on and off the floor. That is something that would benefit a rebuilding team like Orlando right away. Cam Johnson and Jalen Smith are both prospects that would be able to develop in an extended role on a young team.
The main benefit is getting something back for a player that has dealt with some major injuries and is starting a four-year extension. If they can get something back for Isaac, especially a first-round pick, the front office should jump on the deal.
