The Toronto Raptors are at a big of an impasse this offseason. They had a rough 2020-21 season, ending up with the No. 4 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. Their most decorated player in franchise history, Kyle Lowry, departed in free agency, going to the Miami Heat via sign-and-trade.

With a roster retooling underway, the team could opt to go into a rebuild by trading away players such as Pascal Siakam. Any trade rumors involving him picked up after the team used the No. 4 overall pick on Scottie Barnes out of Florida State, who also plays power forward.

Pascal Siakam is a versatile frontcourt player that has proven he can be the focal point of an offense. He can score the ball but is also a willing passer, something plenty of teams would love to add to their roster. His defensive ability is a bonus, as he gets after it on that end of the court.

Parting ways with him will not be easy, but if the Raptors can continue adding to their young core, they will have to seriously consider it. The future of the franchise would be in good hands with Gary Trent Jr., OG Anunoby, Barnes and whomever else is acquired in the trade package in exchange for Pascal Siakam.

While Pascal Siakam was used for this list, Fred VanVleet is another player to keep an eye on. Also 27-years old, Toronto could look to cash in now on their older, young veterans to jump-start the rebuild that may be coming eventually.
