3. New Orleans Pelicans
The New Orleans Pelicans have to make a splash sooner or later. There are reports that Zion Williamson’s family already wants him with a new team after being with the organization for only two seasons.
That is something David Griffin has to change. Winning games will change the perception and the Pelicans have to start doing that. Acquiring a star player to team up with Williamson could also improve his standing with the team.
There are questions as to whether or not Ben Simmons and Williamson could work together, as both don’t shoot the ball well. But, there is no denying that the New Orleans Pelicans are in a position to make a deal for Simmons should they decide that is the player they want to bolster their roster with.
The Pelicans have a ton of draft capital stemming from their Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday trades. If Philadelphia is looking for draft compensation, New Orleans has more than enough to offer. They have multiple first-round draft picks in 2024, 2025 and 2027.

The New Orleans Pelicans also have 23-year old All-Star Brandon Ingram that they can include as the centerpiece of a deal. Ingram is a two-way star point forward that would pair excellently with Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris in the frontcourt.
