This Magic-Nets trade is centered around Mo Bamba to Brooklyn

Would this trade make sense for the Brooklyn Nets?

If there is any area that could use improvement for the Brooklyn Nets, it would be the frontcourt. Jordan did not workout the way the team hoped and it was hard to find him minutes for the postseason. That is not going to change moving forward. If Jordan is used as a trade piece in a deal for a younger player, that is a benefit for Brooklyn.

This is not a trade that has to happen for the Nets to be successful but they could take a chance on a player like Mo Bamba. He has struggled with injuries during his career and has been unable to find any consistency. The Magic seem to be going in a different direction and Bamba could be left behind. .

There are few better places to develop right now than Brooklyn. They have three of the best players in the league on the roster to help the next generation.

Bamba would not be asked to do too much right away. He is a bench player that can bring depth and explosiveness, if he ever takes that next step. First, Bamba must stay healthy and find his game at the next level.

There is plenty of value around Bamba but the Nets would not have to give up too much. This would check the box of moving Jordan while adding a potential replacement. It seems like an easy deal for the Nets if they have a chance to get it done.
