This Blazers-Sixers trade is focused on Tobias Harris to Portland

Would this trade make sense for the Portland Trail Blazers?

The Portland Trail Blazers could be handcuffed this offseason with one of the guards. If Damian Lillard demands a trade, they will have to listen and get back the best return. If not, they can still make a blockbuster deal involving CJ McCollum.

In this particular trade, they would be getting back some necessary pieces. It is important to look at this deal as if Lillard is still at the top of the offense.

It seems unlikely that Portland will part ways with both of their guards so Lillard would be the one still in town. If that is the case, a forward like Tobias Harris could be productive and provide different areas to attack defenses, especially in the playoffs.

Harris had a great season with the 76ers and began to show why he earned that large contract. With Norman Powell still in the fold, the Trail Blazers would slot him in at the two with both Robert Covington and Harris filling the wings alongside Jusuf Nurkic in the middle.

The Trail Blazers will do what it takes to keep their all-time point guard in town, which could be bad news for McCollum. If this is the particular trade, the Blazers would add some depth and get another star in the lineup to replace him.
