3. Karl-Anthony Towns

This is a name that is unlikely because of what the return would have to be but it is definitely interesting to think about. Karl-Anthony Towns is one of the best big men in the NBA and could be on his way out of the Minnesota Timberwolves this offseason. If that is the case, it would make sense for the Phoenix Suns to at least take a flier on a potential deal.

Towns has been in and out of trade rumors over the last NBA season. The Timberwolves have not made a move just yet but they could go even deeper into their rebuilding by sending Towns away.

The Suns would be a fit but the asking price might be too much. It could come down to whether the Suns would want to include Ayton in the deal.

Karl-Anthony Towns is a bigger name that has proven that he can score at all levels and rebound on both ends. If Paul returns, adding Towns would be an intriguing piece to keep an eye on.

The Suns will need to continue to improve, especially if other Western Conference teams continue to make moves. If Towns is on the block, it would make sense for the Suns to be involved.
