At this point in the offseason, the biggest names in NBA free agency are off the board. Teams are looking to round out their roster with players that fit a specific need. 

Rebuilding teams may take a shot on a younger player that flamed out with his previous team and is looking for a clean slate. Some veterans are looking to cash in on one more long-term deal or latch on with a contender to chase a title. One of the players that would fit into the latter category is Wesley Mathews.

The veteran Matthews is one of the better players remaining on the free-agent market this offseason. He spent last season with the Los Angeles Lakers and faced some struggles, but there is no denying that he can still help a team win some basketball games.

The former Marquette product turns 35 in October, providing an experienced, veteran presence for which team that he ends up joining this offseason. He is the prototypical 3-and-D player that is capable of impacting the game without having the ball in his hands.
