Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers have revamped their roster this offseason. LeBron James is now the longest-tenured Laker on the team and Anthony Davis, Talen Horton-Tucker and Marc Gasol are the only players currently under contract that were on the team last season.
Rob Pelinka did an excellent job bringing in players this season despite not having much spending power. Acquiring Russell Westbrook in a trade was the biggest move, but he rounded out the roster with Carmelo Anthony, Trevor Ariza, Kent Bazemore, Dwight Howard, Malik Monk, Wayne Ellington and Kendrick Nunn. Nunn is the only player that signed for more than the veteran’s minimum.
Four of those players have previously played for the franchise, so why not add one more in DeMarcus Cousins? Cousins never played in a game for the Lakers but signed with them during the 2019 offseason before tearing his ACL.
Coming back to the Lakers would be a nice full-circle moment for Cousins, especially if he could help the team win an NBA championship. Los Angeles has to fill out its roster some more and adding a third center would make some sense.

The Lakers may not be able to provide Cousins the playing time he desires, but they would certainly give him a chance to win that elusive ring.
