Opening day of NBA Summer League sure was eventful with the likes of Cade Cunningham, Jalen Green and Evan Mobley making their debuts, but Day 2 on Monday was just as exciting in terms of players making names for themselves and some of the NBA stars that sat courtside for the games.
Thomas & Mack Center, as well as Cox Pavilion, have been packed full not only with NBA fans, but coaches from all over the country, league executives and most importantly, stars of the league. From Ja Morant to Brandon Ingram to Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to NBA legend Dwyane Wade, everyone showed up for what was a fantastic day of basketball all-around.
The Knicks and Pacers got things going early on with the first game of the day in Thomas & Mack, a game in which was scheduled last minute on Sunday due to the Wizards dealing with health and safety protocols.
Unfortunately, we have not been able to see some of the Wizards’ young talents like Cassius Winston, Isaiah Todd and first-round pick Corey Kispert, but if we get an extra day/game of seeing the Knicks led by Obi Toppin and Immanuel Quickley take the court, then sign me up for this again!
