3. New York Knicks
The New York Knicks have not been handling the free-agent market well like many have hoped.
After a 41-win season that landed them the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference, the Knicks were expected to be aggressive in hopes of building an improved the lineup. Derrick Rose and Alec Berks were signed by the Knicks, along with Nerlens Noel.
Evan Fournier was the Knicks biggest signing as he landed a four-year deal with the team. The Knicks are still without a starting-caliber point guard and could still improve in the frontcourt.
Mitchell Robinson has been unable to stay healthy and it is hard to rely on him moving forward. If he goes down again, the depth in the frontcourt would be left up to Noel and Taj Gibson.

This is where the Knicks could look at one of the best big men in the league and balance out the rotation a bit more. It is not surprising to see the Knicks be underwhelming in free agency.
This has become a trend over the years but they can save their offseason by making a big-splash trade. Towns is from New Jersey and was certainly welcome the opportunity to come play near his home.
