The saga surrounding NBA All-Star Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers is not going to go away until the two part ways. The ball is in the court of the Sixers as they begin to think about different options. There will be teams interested but it all comes down to if they can get the return that they are looking for.

Early on, that has been difficult. The asking price for Simmons has been astronomical and that is something that might have to change moving forward as Philadelphia loses leverage. The Sixers have been quiet in free agency but when looking at their roster, there are not many moves to make.

They will be aggressive in the trade market. Sending Simmons away has to be the main priority after the performance he put on in the postseason. The relationship is tarnished and it is unlikely that it will be repaired this offseason.

An intriguing trade option could be the Orlando Magic. This is a franchise that has built a young backcourt. This is not the first time these two teams would connect. Markelle Fultz is now with the Magic and Cole Anthony looked like a promising young talent during his rookie season.

Jalen Suggs fell into the laps of Orlando during the 2021 NBA Draft and all of a sudden, it is a crowded backcourt. The Magic have some flexibility to make a move if they want to and if this is the one, Simmons could change positions.

This would be a blockbuster and it seems like a deal could be on the horizon. Here is a potential trade between the Magic and Sixers that could happen this offseason.
