Prediction: Remains with the Portland Trail Blazers

Following another first-round exit in the playoffs — to a shorthanded Denver Nuggets squad nonetheless — and a coaching change, it remains to be seen if Damian Lillard is content with the current state of the Trail Blazers.

As of this moment, Damian Lillard hasn’t requested a trade despite the outlook of the franchise. If Lillard were to ask out of Portland, there would be a handful of teams making lucrative offers to the Trail Blazers to land the All-Star point guard.

But with plenty of point-guard needy teams already addressing the position, there aren’t many that can fit Damian Lillard on their roster right now.

Maybe if Ben Simmons would have a change of heart on a trade to Portland, Philadelphia could become players for Lillard.

All that being said, I don’t envision Damian Lillard being sent to a new team this offseason unless the Trail Blazers are the ones who initiate trade talks, which isn’t likely at this point.
