Dennis Schroder
Los Angeles Lakers point guard Dennis Schroder is going to be talked about forever. His decision to turn down an $84 million extension offer from them could go down as one of the biggest misjudgments of future earnings.
Knowing they may find difficulties in upgrading their roster this offseason, the Lakers tried to lock Dennis Schroder into a long-term deal before free agency and he turned it down. Fast forward to the present day, the Lakers loaded up on veterans looking to chase a ring and Schroder is still waiting for a team to sign him.
Dennis Schroder had outrageous expectations coming into free agency, expecting to land a deal in excess of $25 million annually. With cap space quickly being spent, he is still looking for a new contract. Schroder was a massive disappointment for the Lakers when they needed him most with LeBron James and Anthony Davis hampered. That likely drove down his value.
Signing with the Los Angeles Clippers to rehab his value may not be the worst idea. With the Clippers he could have a prominent scoring role, taking over for Reggie Jackson, who is also a free agent.

Jackson made the most of his opportunity, stepping up big time when Kawhi Leonard went down with an injury. Without him or Leonard currently on the roster, the Clippers need another player capable of scoring the basketball alongside Paul George.
