The Los Angeles Clippers started the offseason aggressively during the 2021 NBA Draft. Knowing they didn’t have much money to spend in free agency, they made moves for some prospects that night to infuse some young talent on the roster.

The Clippers traded the No. 25 pick and a future second-round pick to the New York Knicks to move up to No. 21. With that pick, they acquired the draft rights to Tennessee wing, Keon Johnson.

Johnson has a raw offensive game but was the most athletic player in the 2021 draft class, setting a record at the NBA Combine with a 47-inch vertical. The team added to their backcourt by acquiring Jason Preston’s draft rights from the Orlando Magic in the second round for a future second-round pick and cash.

Los Angeles completed a third trade, reportedly making a deal with the New Orleans Pelicans for the 51st pick in the draft. With that pick, they acquired the draft rights to Brandon Boston. Boston was a Kentucky shooting guard that was a five-star prospect heading into the 2020-21 season.

But, that should not be the end of the Clippers adding players to their roster this offseason. Thus far in free agency, the only move that Los Angeles has made is re-signing Nicolas Batum. They will make more moves in free agency.

Kawhi Leonard is currently a free agent but is widely expected to return to the Clippers. As a result, he will not be a part of this list. Instead, we will look at three other free agents that Los Angeles should still pursue this offseason.
