Russell Westbrook
With the Washington Wizards trading away Bradley Beal this offseason, the team will move onto Russell Westbrook next. Without Beal, trading away the veteran point guard makes sense as they will be embarking on a rebuild and want to give as many opportunities to the young players on the roster.
Finding a landing spot for Russell Westbrook will be challenging, as his contract is massive. But, there are a lot of teams that could use help at the point guard position this offseason. One of those teams could be the Miami Heat, who will pull off a deal for the former UCLA product.
Miami doesn’t have the draft capital that other teams do, which will ultimately be what costs them in the pursuit of some other stars available this offseason. But, acquiring a player such as Westbrook won’t require that huge amount of draft capital, making him a prime target for Miami.
The Heat have never been shy about making splashes. Russell Westbrook would be a strong addition to the team as the third player alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.

A package centered on Tyler Herro and a future first-round pick could be enough to get the Wizards’ attention before adding in players to match salary.
