The Philadelphia 76ers have already been working the phones in trade discussions for Ben Simmons. Their embattled point guard had another rough postseason, which led to another early exit for the 76ers.
A change of scenery could do Ben Simmons some good, as the comments head coach Doc Rivers and teammate Joel Embiid made following the second-round loss to the Atlanta Hawks made it sound like the team was losing confidence in the former No. 1 overall pick.
Alas, they will run things back at least one more year with Ben Simmons in the fold. They will ultimately hold onto him, as his value is as low as it has ever been and they will never get close to fair value for him.
This was a player that Philadelphia was asked by the Houston Rockets to include in James Harden talks; now, the best they reportedly are receiving is rotation players and draft picks.
