Worst Fit: Miami Heat
The Miami Heat suffered a sweep by the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of this year’s playoffs. Following the quick exit, the Heat realize they have to be aggressive in putting together a better roster around Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.
While re-signing Duncan Robinson would be a good start, Miami needs more shooting and scoring. In light of that, I don’t know where Ben Simmons would fit in the team’s plans for the future.
Yes, Simmons would be a perfect fit for Miami’s defense and he’d give them another player that can handle the ball. But his inability to shoot and score consistently would limit the ceiling of the Heat, especially with neither Butler and Adebayo being efficient outside shooters.
With Pat Riley calling the shots, the Miami Heat are going to be ultra-aggressive in free agency and on the trade market.

Even though that may be true, the Miami Heat shouldn’t even entertain the idea of acquiring Simmons from the 76ers. Reuniting Butler and Simmons — who played together in Philadelphia for a season — seems like a recipe for disaster.
